Bill Nace / Chiara Giovando / Bill Orcutt

Bill Nace coaxes an eclectic, cacophonous range of sound from the electric guitar. In addition to touring internationally with Kim Gordon as Body/Head, Nace plays as x.0.4 with Jake Meginsksy and John Truscinski, as a duo with Paul Flaherty, Northampton Wools with Thurston Moore, and Ceylon Mange with Dylan Nyoukis and Karen Constance, with Chris Corsano in Vampire Belt (and together with Jessica Rylan as Vampire Can’t), as well as under his own name. http://openmouthrecords.blogspot.com/

Chiara Giovando creates sculptural instances of sound that activate and disrupt psychoacoustic perception. Her films include, Proud Flesh (2008), This Love (2010), Archaic Smile (2011). She was curator of the Sound Structures series in San Francisco that recreated indeterminacy scores ranging from early Japanese Fluxus works to Steve Reich's Pendulum Music, to Cornelius Cardew’s The Great Learning to new graphic scores.

Bill Orcutt reinvents the acoustic blues guitar, culling new melodies from Southern folk scales. Best known as the guitarist of Miami noise act Harry Pussy, Orcutt also played in several punk bands, most notably the Trash Monkeys, before forming Harry Pussy in 1992 with his wife, drummer Adris Hoyos. In 1996, Orcutt completed his first solo recording, titled simply Solo CD. Since then, Orcutt has collaborated with Thurston Moore, Lou Barlow, Danny Arad, Chris Corsano, and Joe Cohen, among others.
